I made a promise to myself a few hours ago,
Something that I should have done have a long time ago
Just closed my eyes,drenched myself in the rain
Said goodbye to those whys, said goodbye to my pain
I made a promise to myself this evening
Theres nothing that can stop me from flying
Theres nothing so louder than the silence of peace
Theres nothing so melodious than the sound of a fresh beginning
I made a promise to myself with a smile
I'll breathe free and speak true as I walk every mile
I'll look into the sky and open my arms for the birds
As I carry my bag and start this journey westwards
I made a promise to myself from the heart
All my yesterdays are just few lines on my hand
I have a wind to chase and ride on a happiness cart
I have a dream to dream,I'm the water and I'm the sand
I made a promise to myself like the child
Who collected stones and marbles in the wild
Whose innocence reflected the clarity of his mind
And this child is reborn, his ambitions unwind
I made a promise to myself like the soldier
Who shall never leave a fallen man behind
Whose will is concise and thoughts are clear
Who feels alive , who hopes and become the light for the blind
I made a promise to myself on a pillar of truth
If promises were made to be broken , then I'll prove
That this promise is rendered eternal as it could
I'm a satellite in the space like I'm a cricket in the wood
I made a promise to myself like today never happened
I'll bring a smile to everyone, I will ever meet till the end
